A Day Inside Scitech

Scitech is one of those places that instantly pulls you into a world of curiosity and fun. It’s an amazing and exciting destination for anyone who loves science. Visitors get to learn about planets, space, technology, and everything beyond Earth. It’s also the perfect place for school excursions, giving students a chance to explore science in a hands‑on and memorable way.

Where Learning Turns Fun

Every corner of Scitech has something new to touch, try, or test. My favourite part is the Planetarium, where you sit in super cool theatre seats and look up at a giant dome that turns into space. You can see planets, stars, and galaxies while learning about the universe. There are also fun buttons you can press to play mini science games, making the experience even more exciting.

Floating Through the Universe

The Science Show is another highlight at Scitech. You sit down, waiting excitedly for what’s coming next, and the presenter performs incredible experiments right in front of you. One moment something looks normal, and the next moment—blink!—it changes colour or shape. The presenter explains how everything works, making science feel magical and fun.

How Scitech Began

Scitech was created by physicist John de Laeter, mining leader Sir Laurence Brodie‑Hall, and politician and computer pioneer Mal Bryce. Their goal was to inspire people to explore science and technology, helping everyone discover what they might be missing. They wanted a place where learning felt exciting, creative, and full of possibilities.

Why Scitech Stands Out

Scitech is the perfect place for kids and families to explore, learn, and have fun together. With its mix of shows, exhibits, and hands‑on activities, it’s a must‑visit destination. So start packing your bags for a long, exciting adventure into the world of science.
