Rottnest Unfolds

Rottnest Island is beautiful calming island with no screaming no loud noises just the ocean swaying side by side. Some things that Rottnest Island is famous for is that there are many quakkas with are so adorable. There are exquisite views and bike riding areas with are completely safe.

The Rotto Feeling

When you relax at Rotto It feels like you’re on a vacation! The mellow view and the delightful sound of just chirping and you finally relaxing is just astonishing. The best part is that the ferry there is elegantly fantastic!

Food spots and Friendly Faces

There are some cafes near the beach and some yummy ice-creams which you can grab and enjoy! There are little food benches where you can put some food you brought from home or have a little snack. You can also ride your bike with the fresh wind because there is a lot of bike riding paths for you to join the wind and whizz around the place.

Where it all Began

Rottnest Island got its name in 1696 when an explore named Willem de Vlamingh visited the area he saw little quakkas and thought they were huge rats which is why he named it Rattnest standing for Ratt Nest but overtime the name turned into Rottnest. It used to be used by the noongar people until the island got separated from its mainland so then the Europeans arrived and used it.
